Breast Cancer is a global epidemic. According to the World Health Organization, with few exceptions, breast cancer remains the top cancer per country in 2020. And mastectomy is the primary treatment for a breast cancer diagnosis. It should come as no surprise, then, that the need for properly trained international mastectomy fitters is growing.

Statistics from the World Cancer Research Fund International validate that breast cancer is the most common cancer worldwide. Breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in women. There were more than 2.26 million new breast cancer cases in women in 2020.

The International Society of Breast Care Professionals (ISBCP) is a member-driven global mastectomy fitter organization dedicated to Quality Education and Global Standards of Care and training for international mastectomy fitters and breast health professionals.

Throughout 2022-2025, the International Society of Breast Care Professionals will focus on mastectomy education and public awareness of the need to train mastectomy fitters as part of the continuum of breast cancer care.
